Their mix of heartfelt originals and handpicked covers delivers foot-stomping energy and rich harmonies. \nSCS has played renowned venues like Bent Paddle\, Earth Rider\, Gunflint Tavern\, and Cloudland Theater while making waves at major events. In 2024\, they headlined Bluegrass on the Black Festival and SquidFest and played the MN Musician Showcase at Mall of America. In 2025\, they’ll hit Jackson MN’s Rhythm of the River Bluegrass Festival\, Bayfield WI’s Apple Fest\, Copper Trail Brewing Oletober Fest\, St. Peter MN’s Rock Bend Folk Festival\, ND’s Kota Ray Dam Music Festival\, and River Falls WI’s Bluegrass Festival\, expanding their reach into WI\, IA\, and ND. \nSCS also plays private events and weddings\, with many booked for 2025. For the next eight years\, Pushing Chain toured the US and Canada\, playing venues big and small and gaining fans the old-fashioned way — face to face\, one at a time. Adam has been featured on radio and television\, and played some of the biggest festivals in the country\, including the 2019 Woody Guthrie Festival and the 2019 Kerrville Folk Festival. \nWith the onset of the 2020 pandemic\, Adam set out on a solo career. The result is an ever-changing array of classic country and folk music combined with his original songs\, which have been described as both witty and poignant. Backed with his custom-built tenor guitar and delivered with clear\, classic country vocals\, he takes audiences back to a time when telling the story was more important than selling it. As one recent audience member said\, “This guy has an old soul.” \nAdam believes that good music can make strangers share a table\, and he tries to prove it every time he plays.

Their acoustic duo collaboration emerged when Tina revealed that she secretly wished to sing an “Oops! All duets!” show with Drew\, her favorite local voice. Meanwhile Drew\, who believed Tina could make the nutritional facts on a cereal box sound good\, curated a setlist that excited them both as performers and as listeners. Now in their debut season\, they’re delighted to bring their warm\, eclectic sound to audiences across audiences across the North Shore – and occasionally\, to an appreciative flock of chickens.
