DESCRIPTION:Abbey ales are an ancient tradition in Belgium. Our Belgian Abbey features bold flavor marked more by malt sweetness and yeast character than hop presence. Finishing at 6.5%\, this beer is dominated by yeast phenolics and esters with aromas of stone fruit\, figs\, and plums. A balanced bitterness leaves the beer feeling substantial and warming yet crisp at the same time. \nEverything starts at 6pm on November 8th. We’ll kick the night off with some *free samples* of Belgian Abbey while the taproom fills up. Live music by John Cron starts at 7pm\, there will be hourly prize drawings and Louise’s Place will have a pop-up shop. We are also offering $1 off tulips during the party. The first drawing will be at 7pm and will go every hour until 9pm – we encourage you to purchase a tulip of Abbey while you wait for each drawing and you must be present to win. DESCRIPTION:A fall favorite returns. Maple Märzen blends traditional German malts and hops with local maple syrup. The result is a rich and toasty malt flavor with a strong maple character. The German Noble hops lend a subtle balancing spice to the beer but play second fiddle to the malt/maple profile. German lager yeast helps the Märzen stay crisp and clean tasting\, letting the other ingredients shine through. This is a traditional lager style with an added Northwoods twist\, making it a welcome addition to a sunny but cool autumn day or at any campfire. A portion of the proceeds of Maple Märzen goes to the Superior Hiking Trail Association. \nEverything starts at 6pm on September 6th.
