DESCRIPTION:Alerus Center and Jade Presents are excited to announce the Happy Harry’s Beer and Bacon Festival. The event will take place at the Alerus Center on Saturday\, January 19\, 2019. VIP Session will begin at 3:30 p.m. and the general admission session will start at 5 p.m.  Event ends at 8 p.m. \nHappy Harry’s Beer and Bacon Festival is the region’s top beer and bacon event and will again bring delicious suds and swine dishes together.  The event will feature eight local restaurants that will showcase numerous bacon dishes.  The event will also offer samples of approximately 100-150 different craft beers.  All samples are included in the price of admission. \nThe VIP experience will include a commemorative pint glass\, a commemorative gift\, and access to beer and bacon samples 90 minutes earlier than general admission.  The VIP session will also be bringing back the beloved BLT Bar.  VIP has limited availability. \nTicket Prices (additional fees may apply): \nVIP (Ages 21+) – $60 in advance\, $65 day of the event (limited tickets) \nGeneral Admission (Ages 21+) – $25 in advance\, $30 day of event

DESCRIPTION:Come and see this local favorite play at our taproom from 7-9 pm. Pushing Chain was formed in 2012 by Boyd Blomberg and Adam Moe. The duo\, which has been performing together in various manifestations since 1997\, plays roots and Americana music featuring Boyd on guitar and vocals and Adam on the fiddle and vocals. Pushing Chain plays original songs\, covers of classic artists like Bob Dylan\, Tom Waits\, and Nina Simone\, and some fresh new takes on old folk songs. The duo also features tight harmonies and a gonzo approach which keeps performances fresh and exciting\, even if you’ve seen them before.

It’s very dark with a chocolate and roasted coffee aroma. his beer is somewhat sweet with a very full body and higher than usual ABV (we like to party) at 7.5%.\n\n\nWe will be tapping this beer AT 6 pm on the 4th and not a minute before. \n\n\nWhat you can look forward to: live music by Hannah Rey (starting at 7pm)\, awesome prize drawings\, and a local restaurant pop-up shop. We’re also offering $1 off tulips and discounted growlers of Baltic Porter during the party. The first drawing will be at 6:30pm and will go every half hour until 9pm – must purchase a tulip of Baltic Porter to enter the drawing\, and must be present to win. Mark your calendars!!
