Job Title: Marketing & Communications Specialist
Location: Two Harbors, MN
Company: Castle Danger Brewery
Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing
Schedule: FT Monday-Friday (plus some nights & weekends)
Job Overview:
The Marketing & Communications Specialist’s main focus is to promote and position the Castle Danger brand in all company initiatives. Manages, coordinates & executes all social media platforms and company website.
Responsible for collaborating in the company’s marketing initiatives, marketing campaigns, promotions & public relations. Uses market research and analysis to inform company strategy and planning. Collaborate on planning & execution of marketplace brewery events. Creatively collaborates with the taproom team for event concepts and marketing priorities.
Duties:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize marketing campaigns, events, promotions, collabs, PR, media relations and community partnerships.
- Manage & collaborate on social media platforms:
- Create engaging content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook & additional platforms as added, including video content and stories.
- Monitor social media channels & analytics for industry trends, user feedback, and insights to improve engagement and brand awareness.
- Develop and execute social media campaigns to increase brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Engage with followers by responding to comments, direct messages, and user-generated content in a timely and personable manner.
- Coordinate with marketing team to ensure a consistent brand voice across all digital platforms.
- Manage company website. Ensure information is timely and brand consistent. Work with IT for troubleshooting
- Manage photo shoots and video campaigns
- Collaborate with marketing team to concept new seasonal company merchandise
- Assist as needed in event coordination and execution (taproom events, festivals, dinners, tastings, etc.)
- Attend conferences, beer festivals, events, samplings, and other promotional events
- Manage content and distribution for the monthly Brewsletter & email blasts
- Gather and facilitate market and consumer research to inform company strategy and planning
- Coordination & execution of internal marketing initiatives and events.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- 3-5+ years of experience in marketing, event coordination or public relations
- Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to excel in instances of limited direction
- Detail-oriented and ability to be a forward-thinker
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying levels of importance and difficulty
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours. Most work will occur during the business day but must be flexible to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Canva, Adobe Suite & Word Press experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel by car throughout the state of MN & WI
- Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs; team-lift objects up to 170 lbs as needed for event setup
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or other related field is strongly preferred
